2. Quick guide
What to tell your AI
- Using the AI of your choice, send it your terms and definitions you want to learn.
- Paste the template below and ask for each term or definition to be formatted like that.
- Start learning!
Keep the instructions simple: ask for plausible distractors, one marked
correct answer, blank lines between cards, and let the prompt continue over
multiple lines whenever the question needs more structure.
If you want to tweak the core cards after import, just use `Edit in Builder`.
Exametrics will rebuild the deck into builder cards automatically while keeping
the set name, concept lines, prompt direction, term, and definition.
The text reader now treats everything before the first `- * ` answer line as
part of the prompt. That means your AI can use follow-up lines and even `* `
or `- ` bullet points inside the question itself.
Simple example
Short template
Format these as Exametrics cards.
Generate plausible and closely related distractors.
Fill in a concept line for each question when it helps with context.
Use either "definition:" or "term:" for each prompt.
You may continue the prompt across multiple lines before the answers begin.
You may use "* " or "- " for bullet points inside the prompt when helpful.
Start the answer block with the correct answer marked as "- * ".
After that, keep each remaining answer choice on its own "- " line.
Separate cards with one blank line.
Make the wrong answers plausible but still incorrect.
